'inna misr dawla bihā diyānatayn 'al-'islām wa-l-masihhiyya

Egypt is a country with two religions, Islam and Christianity.

'anā muslim li-'innanī min ^cā'ila muslima

I am a Muslim, because I am from a Muslim family.

yajibu 'an 'adhkar 'anna mu^czam 'asdiqā'ī muslimīn aydan

I must admit the almost all of my friends are Muslims, too.

'innanī muhtamm bi-l-masihhiyya la-annaha 'al-diyānata l-'aqrab li-l-'islām

I am interested in Christianity, as it is the brother religion of Islam.

fa-jawharu d-diyānatayn 'al-'imān bi-llahi wa-aydan bi-humā 'al-^cadīd mina l-qisas 'al-hāma 'al-mutashābiha

The essence of both religions is the belief in God, and they have many similar important stories.

hatā 'idhā 'aradtu, fa-lan 'astatī^c 'an asbah masihhiyyan

I could never become a Christian(I could never pray to a man or symbol of a man).

'idha fa^caltu dhālika fa-'inna wālidī sa-yusābu bi-'azma qalbiyya wa-'ummī lan tatahadath ma^cī li-sanawāti ^cadīda

If I did my father would have a heart attack, and my mother would not talk to me for years.
