What Quran Says About Mockery?

O ye who believe! take not for friends and protectors those who take your religion for a mockery or sport,- whether among those who received the Scripture before you, or among those who reject Faith; but fear ye Allah, if ye have faith (indeed). [5:57]

And remember Moses said to his people: "(Allah) commands that ye sacrifice a heifer." They said: "Makest thou a laughing-stock of us?" He said: "(Allah) save me from being an ignorant (fool)!" [2:67]

But there are, among men, those who purchase idle tales, without knowledge (or meaning), to mislead (men) from the Path of Allah and throw ridicule (on the Path): for such there will be a Humiliating Penalty. [31:6]

And when he learns something of Our Signs, he takes them in jest: for such there will be a humiliating Penalty. [45:9]

That is their reward, Hell, because they rejected Faith, and took My Signs and My Messengers by way of jest. [18:106]

"This, because ye used to take the Signs of Allah in jest, and the life of the world deceived you:" (From) that Day, therefore, they shall not be taken out thence, nor shall they be received into Grace. [45:35]

We only send the apostles to give Glad Tidings and to give warnings: But the unbelievers dispute with vain argument, in order therewith to weaken the truth, and they treat My Signs as a jest, as also the fact that they are warned! [18:56]

When the Unbelievers see thee, they treat thee not except with ridicule. "Is this," (they say), "the one who talks of your gods?" and they blaspheme at the mention of ((Allah)) Most Gracious! [21:36]

When they see thee, they treat thee no otherwise than in mockery: "Is this the one whom Allah has sent as an apostle?" [25:41]

When ye proclaim your call to prayer they take it (but) as mockery and sport; that is because they are a people without understanding. [5:58]
